Never be afraid of combining several eyeliner colours. Use one shade for the upper eyelid and a contrasting one for the bottom lid. Don't join the line you've drawn on top with the one on the bottom. Instead, continue the top line upwards, towards the temple, to obtain the visual effect of enlarging and enlivening your eyes. For an even more natural look, soften the pencil line with a brush or sponge.
